The Brief
SMART Cables, an innovative leader in marine technology, sought to redefine its brand identity to better reflect its cutting-edge solutions and commitment to sustainable oceanic exploration. The goal was to create a cohesive visual and messaging strategy that encapsulated the company’s values and mission. This included developing a distinctive logo, a comprehensive style guide, and clear messaging guidelines that would resonate with a diverse audience, from industry experts to the general public. The challenge was to craft a brand identity that conveyed both technological sophistication and environmental stewardship.
The Execution
To bring SMARTCables’ vision to life, our team embarked on a detailed brand development process. We began with an initial logo exploration, focusing on visual elements that represented the convergence of technology and the ocean. The final logo design featured a stylized “S,” with the top curve forming a wave and the bottom curve comprising three cables, symbolizing connectivity and marine depth.
Following the logo creation, we developed a set of messaging guidelines aligned with SMART Cables’ core values: innovative, trustworthy, transformative, customer-focused, and practical. Each value was defined with a clear tone of voice, ensuring consistency across all communications.
Next, we crafted a comprehensive style guide that included a sophisticated color palette inspired by the ocean, with rich blues and subtle greys, representing stability and trust. Elegant line art was introduced as a graphic device, mirroring the data and information flow through the cables and symbolizing oceanic elements like waves and currents.
