It all started when our CEO and founder Ben Kaplan launched his first book, How to Go to College Almost For Free. The book—which outlined personal finance strategies for students—was promoted in thousands of media placements, including The Oprah Winfrey Show and Good Morning America. Ben later wrote a weekly personal finance column, Scholars and Dollars, that was based at The Oregonian (Portland’s daily newspaper) and syndicated nationwide.

We helped one early TOP Agency client, Propy, to publicize the first ever real estate transfer on the blockchain. As pioneers in tokenized real estate, they needed help telling a complex story in a way that felt intuitive and trustworthy. We crafted a media narrative around speed, transparency, and security—positioning Propy as the future of real estate transactions.
Then came Monifi, a bold digital banking initiative from MidFirst Bank. As a brand-new product in a crowded fintech space, Monifi needed a clear value proposition and a differentiated voice. We helped launch the brand, blending the credibility of a traditional bank with the agility and appeal of a next-gen personal finance tool.

Serving a wide-ranging customer base across diverse communities, M&T turned to us for help building trust at the local level. We led community interviews and surveys, developed community-specific brand guidelines, and produced multilingual educational assets that reflected the voices of those they served.

For Freshbooks, the goal was reach and relatability. As a well-known accounting and invoicing software company, they wanted to stand out in a crowded SaaS market. We brought their story to life through strategic PR and influencer campaigns, connecting with freelancers and small business owners where they live and work.
